Baby Friendly Cafe?
Terry was asked to do a bit overtime over the weekend. So we went in his car to Leeds for shopping and lunch Saturday. The plan was he works from 10am-2pm and we meet at a Indian buffet restaurant for lunch at 2pm. This a bit different from Daniel daily routine as we normally go out in afternoon during the week. My intention was to make Daniel get used to the hustling and buzzing of a busy city center before we going to travelling... Terry said 'poor Daniel it's just that Mummy want to look clothes, you have to go all the way with her to look all these girly shops like Zara...' We parted at his work car park and I pushed Daniel to browsing the high street fashion shops. Daniel showed a little bit interests at the beginning but soon fell fast asleep. After 3 hours browsing I myself got tired and decided to have a rest at Starbucks. It was so busy in there. Holding the cappuccino I couldn't manage to find a seat while pushing s sturdy pushchair with lots of Chinese shopping bought from the China town. The Starbucks is in an Edwardian building with 3 floors. I knew they have sofas on top floor and I want to feed Daniel there. Assuming there is a lift going upstairs but when I got to the lift only to find out the lift only go half way to the top floor and I have to asked one of the staff to help me carrying the pushchair to finish the rest of stairs. Such an effort just to drink cup of coffee and have a bit rest! No wonder there is a Baby friendly Britain campaign recently and they gave away the Baby-Friendly Cafe and Restaurants Guide... Better check it next time before I set off.

UK should really do something to improve in this area. I have heard so many similar horror stories from Liina and you and I feel sorry for you guys.
Public places in Sydney are very baby friendly. I haven't encountered any problems in the last 2 years.
Wait until you are in China, probably worse. Can't wait to hear all the stories in China. :)
Not only that! British children are the most unhappy ones among European according to survey... hehe, not a great country to raise up children...
