Inbound journey

I would thought the early morning flight (1.30am) would be quiet, however I was amazed how busy the flight was when we arrived the check-in hall at HK International airport. Oasis HK's early flight to London was so over-booked. On borad I was amazed again to found out that 4 sky-cots were fully-booked. Wow! 4 babes on board! It won't be a quiet journey, I think. Daniel got a 15-month old baby as neighbour. Each time one of them started to cry, the other one would start to cry as well... so the inbound journey was a lot harder than the outbound one. We brought a one-off feeding bottle and 2 boxes of ready-made formula for Daniel but the one-off bottle leaked, we had to move the milk to the normal AVENT bottle, Daniel got really upset over it and screamed his head off. It took Terry a while to calm him down by singing song to him... the blond baby sat next to us proved to be even harder work for his parents as he would stand up in the bassinet and in the end his parents had to hold him on their laps,it was a waste to book the bassinet for him.

Welcome back!!

Daniel has grown so much.

You must be relieved that you are finally home. I can't imagine taking such a little baby to travel so far. You and Terry have done very well!

Yes, Daniel has grown quite a lot! Don't know how much he weigh now, going to take hime to baby clinic tomorrow...

I remembered you mentioned you have taken Issac back Kunming couple years ago, he must be really young back then?

Yes, relieved! in the sense of that Daniel can go back to his routine. The best thing for the whole trip is that Daniel didn't get ill. I felt so much relieved about this!

Not so much a relief of facing mountain-high houseworks to do after a-month-going-away... house need hoovering, grass need cutting, plants looks dying and lots of laundry to do...and Daniel need attention at the same time! Wish my mum was here now to lend a help hand holding Daniel, so I can get on with all the chores... In this respect, I felt a lot more relaxed when we were in Kunming as Daniel was always being hold by someone then...

No Isaac hasn't been out of Sydney so far. I don't have plans to take the kids to China until they are old enough to appreciate it.

Daniel is so healthy! I can't believe he wasn't sick at all while on holidays. I have heard so much about kids getting sick in China...

Nowhere is like home. I love being home even though there is always housework to do. As for Daniel, he can enjoy some floor time while you do your housework. More floor time is actually very good for babies, much better than staying in someone's arms. :)

Daniel doesn't enjoy being put on the floor so far, he would scream or shout. Besides we haven't baby-proof the house, which is something we need to do before he start to crawl. So floor time is not the option at the moment. What Daniel likes is just his bouncer (to kcicking his legs), somebody's arms... he just started to like his flower cushion since we back from holiday to play toys in it (as he can sit up well), but unfortunately his attention span on toys tends to be short before he move on to next scenery... so sometimes I have to use telly to babysit him while he's not sleeping to get some housework done!
