9 months old

Yummy fingers!
Dinner still not ready!
Did you see my teeth?

Daniel turned 9 month old last Wednesday. They say babes will almost get mobile one way or another at this stage. Daniel is not a good crawler, he used to just be able to creep, now he learned how to launch himself into crawling and he can arch his body into a 'press-up' position with bottom in the air but he still doesn't like to crawl mush though, as he can't turn himself back to a sitting position from the crawling one.Today he has just managed to complete such a movement with much a struggle. However, Daniel certainly is a good bottom-shuffler, he can move quite a bit distance by just doing this, moving from his toy box to the coffee table etc.

His fingers is a lot more under his control, pick up and put down object a lot more at his will. I shall look out for his pincer grip at this stag, the ability to hold objects between thumb and index finger, which is typically start to develop from this month.

He can pull himself into a standing position standing unaided for a few moments before losing his balance, he is very keen on doing this whenever I pick himself up he would straighten his legs and it's hard to put him into his trekker for a ride as he tried to stand on it all the time.

He learned to wave to people. He wave goodbye to daddy every morning as one of his routine. He waves to supermarket check-out girl and babes at the playgroup and he waves to himself in the mirror sometimes.

He has a great deal of separation anxiety: I have to be in his sight every second now as once I leave the room he will cry. I noticed each time I sit him to watch his favourite nursery rhythms DVD and try to leave the room for a while and he would scream and would turn his body away from telly towards the direction of the lounge door at once.

He produces lots of sounds with babbling now. One grandma at playgroup once commented Daniel was almost talking. I know the bilingual babes will have a bit speech delay, so I speak to him quite a lot, unfortunately in a mix of English and Mandarin. I ought to speak Chinese to him exclusively to avoid the confusion of language, but I just can't do this when we are out to the supermarket or playgroup. I found myself slip into English so easily.

I was wondering where you were. Were you enjoying some blog-free time? :)

It's great to see you update and read about Daniel's development.

Isabel is also very clingy to me recently, I was going to write about it but haven't.

Enjoy your weekend!

Also Daniel is very clingy and demanding these days keeping me occupied almost every minute during the day.

Hope you had nice weekend as well.
