Daniel used to love bath, he started to dislike bath time since he turned 2. Each time he heard the word 'bath', he would scream. However since last week, i changed the wording for bath as ' shall we go play bubbles in the bathroom?' and this worked very well with Daniel because he likes to play bubbles in the bath. We are thinking to get him some rainbow bubbles (multi-colors bubbles), but Daniel just got into a a new routine in the bathroom. He sings and dances in the bath tub before he eventually sit down to have his bath. Normally Daniel would sing:
'I'm the musical man, I came from down your way... I play piano... Pia...pia..piano.... Pia...pia..piano', he would jump up and down when he sang' oba... oba..obaba... oba..oba..obaba...'
Tonight is Daniel's hair-washing day, which mean Terry will come up joining us to watch Daniel as a form of support for Daniel. Daniel has already sing a few songs when Terry came in the bathroom. I said to Daniel ' come on... sing to Daddy' Daniel put both his hands behind his back as if he was on the stage, he sang through all the songs I required him to sing, he sang Baba Black Sheep; 'baba black sheep, have you have any wool? yes!..yes!.. three bags full... one for the master... one for the dame... one for the little boy who lives down the lane...' He sang Row Row boat: 'Row.. row... row your boat gently down the stream... if you see the crocodile, don't forgot to scream... Ah! (very loud)...
He also sang 'the wheel on the bus', he even sang a Chinese nursery rhythm in Chinese and Terry had to ask what that song mean. He was just so lovely!

That's sooo good! Isabel loves singing too and often woke us up in the morning by singing out loud. But she hasn't been able to sing all the words so clearly.
I ditched the bath long time ago. They only have showers now. It's much faster and easier for us and they don't mind either.
Did you ditch bath? No wonder your kids don't mind the water pouring down on their faces! Daniel would scream blue murder if a bit water got in his eyes or ears.
Shower is a good idea. i will probabaly try when Daniel is a bit older. Australia is a hot country, isnt it? I would think people in Australia probably prefer shower to bath living in a hot climate. Here is cold climate, people tend to have bath more in the evening. We have shower in the morning but it's not a good timing to take baby into shower in the morning...
