Daniel is so energetic nowadays!
Friday was a sunny day, the whole country seemed to bask in the sun. Daniel wanted to go out to play when he woke up. (We normally go to Jelly Bean on Friday morning) He started to pester me to go to playground 8am regardless i repeatedly telling him that it would be too early to go now, we meant to meet Justin and his mum at car park around 10am. But Daniel just kept whining. In the end I had to text Joanne that we'd go there early and meet them at playground. I took Daniel out 9am and arrived park 9.15. The park was very quiet apart from couple of dog walkers. Daniel paddled his tricycle along the path enthusiastically and kept telling me about the things he saw along the path 'Look... Mummy... Daffodils, daffodils, purple one...', He paddled, paddled with the push from me when it comes uphill. He paddled a long way to the playground and spent the whole morning going on slides again and again, digging sand in the sand pit... We fished playground 11.45am , Daniel and Justin paddled tricycle alongside each other back to the car park. we parted Joanne and Justin from there and I took Daniel to supermarket for a quick shopping. We backed home nearly 1.30am. Daniel had lots food at supermarket, so he skipped lunch and went out with Terry to local post office by feet. When Daniel back home, I tried to get him to nap, but he wasn't tired enough to sleep. he kept playing in the lounge. 3am he started to get a bit cranky, so I took him out for a little drive. Daniel was fast asleep once he was in the car, I drove to the Newmillerdam, which is a lake surrounded by woods and parked the car in their car park for an hour to wait Daniel wake up. While I was browsing Internet on my mobile phone Terry texted that he want to come to join us. Terry said because it was so nice and we could have a walk in the woods then have an early dinner at the nearby pub. Why not! We should make the most of the day! i said. When Terry arrived the car park in his car, Daniel already woke up with more than an hour nap, he was asking me to buy him an ice cream cone from the ice-cream van in the car park. Daniel then followed behind Terry and me along the path with the inspiration from the ice-cream. Terry held his ice-cream for him. he walked a bit, and ran to Terry to bite his ice cream. Daniel walked a long distance in this way. When his ice-cream finished. He decided to detour from the path to try tough Terrain in the woods, Daniel said 'I want to play hide-seek in the forest...' Daniel surprised me with all his physical impulse, because the terrain he chosen to climb up is actually quite steep and hard with lots of tree roots and fallen leaves, but he just decided to go independently and we had to follow him. We walked in the tough bit of the woods for another 20 minuets before we got back down to the flat path along the lake. It was a very physical day for Daniel !
After pub dinner when we got back to the car park, Terry asked Daniel 'Whose car do you want to go in? ' I said ' Don't need to ask, obviously he want to go with you!' It was true, Daniel answered without hesitation ' I want to go Daddy's car!' I drove back without Daniel and it felt like off-duty for a while and i could listen to my own CD in my car instead of Daniel's nursery rhythms. Terry said Daniel was singing at the back of his car all the way home and he slept really well that night!
